Rhoose Lifeguards Easter Fun-day and Barbeque

The Stillwater’s are over and summer is slowly but surely on its way. It’s time to get outside and have some fun!

To raise funds for Rhoose Lifeguards, the Social and Fundraising Committee will be holding an Easter fun-day and barbeque at the clubhouse on Monday 13th April.

The fun will start at 12:00 Midday with an Easter trail for the Juniors and an Easter egg hunt on the beach for the Nippers. This will be followed by a barbeque and presentation of medals won at the Welsh Stillwater Championships.

Both adult and children’s tickets are priced at £3 each and will be available from Friday 27th March. The adult ticket will include food, and the children’s ticket will include food, a drink, entrance into the Easter egg hunt or treasure trail and a small prize.

A bar will be available and we also hope to sell homemade cakes.

If anyone has any queries, would like to donate a cake or would like to help out on the day, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

So dust down the camping chairs, air the picnic blanket and bring your family and friends along to have a bit of fun and celebrate fantastic results at the Stillwater Championships.

Rhoose Juniors Win Welsh Stillwaters
Monday, 09 March 2009 09:07

The Rhoose Lifeguards Junior squad returned as team winners from the SLSA Wales Stillwater Championships held in Cardiff over March 7/8. With many great individual and team performances, they went one better than their second place last year. The Senior squad placed 3rd, and the Masters team came 4th. Overall, Rhoose were the 2nd placed club.

Many thanks to all those that helped out on the day, especially to Lee Perry for managing the team.

Full results, medal winners and points to follow.

Rhoose 3rd at Stillwater Mini-League
Monday, 02 March 2009 11:11

The Rhoose A team came 3rd overall after the three legs of the SLSA Wales Stillwater Minileague held at Aberavon, despite losing half of the squad to the RLSS champs in Sheffield.

The C team came in 12th, just ahead of the B team in 13th.

Many thanks to all competitors, and as usual to parents and team managers without whom none of this would happen.
