Rhoose Nippers 3rd at Welsh Stillwaters

Rhoose Nippers came 3rd overall in the recent Welsh Stillwater Champs held at Cardiff.


With a solid team performance across all age groups, the team returned with 27 medals in total, made up of 6 Golds, 10 Silvers and 11 Bronze.


Medal winners were:


Ben Owen (U12) - 1st Flipper, 1st Manakin, 2nd Obstacle, 2nd Board

Kieran Knowles (U13) - 1st Obstacle, 1st Board, 3rd Flipper

Jessica Wadey (U9) - 1st Board, 2nd Obstacle, 2nd Flipper, 2nd Manakin

Sophia Strinati (U10) - 2nd Obstacle, 2nd Manakin, 3rd Flipper

Oliver Wong (U8) - 2nd Obstacle, 3rd Board

Laura Young (U11) - 2nd Board

George Connelly (U13) - 2nd Board

Emma Young (U11) - 3rd Board

Kathryn Gardener (U13) - 3rd Board

Kate Griffin (U11) - 3rd Flipper

Laura Braggins (U12) - 3rd Board

Cara Addison-Smyth (U10) - 3rd Manakin

Jamie Sugden (U13) - 3rd Manakin

Rhoose Seniors 6th at GBs, Lana & Kathryn win gold

Rhoose Senior team were placed 6th overall at the recent GB Open Stillwater Champs at Millfield. The small team of 7 placed 5th in the Mens and 6th in the Ladies overall.


Best performance by far was that of Kathryn Worth and Lana Evans in winning the Open Ladies Rope Throw to  take the title of British Senior Champions. Congratulations!

Lana Evans - Silver Obstacle

James Grandfield - Bronze Super Lifesaver

Well done to the other members of the team (Simon Perry, Rhys Perry, Charlie Grandfield, Simon Parker) for gaining valuable points in both individual and team events.


Rhoose Juniors 5th at GB Stillwaters

Rhoose Juniors team of 15 came 5th overall at the recent GB Youth Stillwater Championships at Millfield.

The boys team placed 3rd, the girls placed 8th. Overall they won 5 Golds, 3 Silvers and 10 Bronze.

Lana Evans (Under 19s) - Gold Obstacle & Rescue Medley, Bronze 50m Manikin carry & 100m manikin carry

Luke Giddings (Under 15s) - Gold 50m Manikin carry, Bronze Obstacle, 100m Manikin carry & Manikin Tow

Dan Owen (Under 14s) - Gold Manikin Tow, Bronze Obstacle

Rhys Perry (Under 16s) - Silver Obstacle & 100m Manikin carry, Bronze 50m Mankin carry & Super Lifesaver

Charles Grandfield (Under 16s) - Bronze Obstacle


Boys Under 16 Obstacle Relay team - Gold (Rhys Perry, Charlie Grandfield, Alex Varney, Luke Giddings)

Girls Under 19 Medley Relay team - Silver (Lana Evans, Eloise Neighbour, Natalie Cordy, Lisa Bremner)

Girls Under 19 Obstacle Relay team - Bronze (Lana Evans, Eloise Neighbour, Natalie Cordy, Lisa Bremner)

A small team of 3 all returned with British titles and Gold medals from the recent GB Stillwater Championships at Millfield.
