npower donates Buoyancy Aids to Rhoose Lifeguards
Monday, 26 January 2009 09:44

The fundraising committee of Rhoose Lifeguards would like to thank Paul Gardner and npower for their kind donation of £500 to purchase New Buoyancy aids for the club. The club has in the past borrowed the safety jackets from the Scouts but can now carry out Ski training at Cosmeston lakes with their own equipment having the benefit of a modern design that does not hinder the paddling.

If any member of the club is also able to help with funds or donations for the club through their employer or community connections please speak with Sian Baron and she will discuss various ways you could help.

All Nippers who were born in 1997 are now eligible to swim on Wednesday night
Saturday, 03 January 2009 11:09

For all the Nippers that were born in 1997 you are now eligible to swim with the junior section on Wednesday night.

Swimming starts at 8.00pm at Fonty Pool and you will swim until 9.00pm then you will get changed as quick as you can so you are home and tucked up in bed by 10 oclock.

This is a bit of a late night for the children of this age but it gives them an opportunity to get to know the junior members of the club and help build up swimming strengths and stamina.

If you would like any further information on this, please speak to Lee Perry who is the coach responsible for the Wednesday night swimming or Chris Braggins at any Nipper session.
